One number out of 100, built from six things that decide whether a month somewhere works.
A realistic monthly budget for one person living comfortably, with a furnished one-bed, coworking and eating out, carries a quarter of the score. Typical home and coworking internet speed carries a fifth.
The size of the nomad and remote-worker scene counts for a fifth, because it decides how easy it is to make friends and find a desk. Safety for foreigners adds 15%.
How easily you get by in English and how close the average temperature is to a comfortable 24°C make up the rest. Visas are listed on every city page but kept out of the score, since they depend on your passport.
Nomad Go Where compares 32 of the most popular bases for remote workers in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore, Laos and Taiwan. Every city page covers the neighbourhoods nomads live in, coworking spaces that are open today, rent and coworking prices, internet speeds, the best months to go, the nearest airport, SIM cards and the current visa rules.
It is part of the GoWhere Guides family, alongside Craft Beer, Pub, Padel, Dive, Surf and Yoga Go Where, so once you have picked a city you can find where to drink, train and play there too.
